First Federal Bank Presents Casperson Family Christmas Lights 2024

TWIN FALLS, Idaho – The 2024 edition of the Casperson Family Christmas Lights will officially begin Thanksgiving night and remain on through New Year’s Day. Presented by First Federal Bank, this long-standing Magic Valley tradition takes place at First Federal Bank Park and the Sunway Soccer Complex, located at N 2700 E and North College Road, in Twin Falls. The public can enjoy the illuminated display every evening, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., free of charge.

“It is our pleasure to continue this community tradition and add to the holiday spirit in the Magic Valley,” stated Angela Wells, Customer and Community Engagement Manager at First Federal Bank. “We’re continuing the legacy set by Max Casperson - his goal was to help make the holidays enjoyable for everyone. It is our hope to do the same.”

Max started his holiday display tradition after 9/11, beginning with a “God Bless America” sign on his barn. Each subsequent year, his collection of lights and displays grew, eventually becoming large enough to be featured in USA Today’s Most Outrageous Christmas Lights. Unfortunately, Max passed away in 2022, which is when First Fed partnered with the Casperson family to continue the tradition.

Individuals who visit the display can either stay in their car and simply drive along North College Road or park and walk on the sidewalk that runs parallel to the display. Additionally, pedestrians are reminded to stay on the sidewalk, watch for traffic, and avoid touching the various light structures and scenes.

Setting up of the display began in mid-October in order for it to be ready by Thanksgiving night. Numerous individuals and organizations come together each year to make the tradition come alive. A special thanks to Brad Nichols, Lloyd Casperson, the City of Twin Falls, Lee Family Broadcasting, Electric One West, and Twin Falls County for their contributions to the display.
